Abundance mindset
“Expect your every need to be met. Expect the answer to every problem, expect abundance on every level.” – Eileen Caddy
I heard that in some places, you can trade clothes, which you just bought (but have worn) for new ones without paying a fee. Try this in some parts (if not all parts) of our country and see what happens. Then, I heard that, if there is a slight glitch in their electronics, they don’t bother to repair it, they discard it for new ones. I mean, isn’t that wastefulness? But that’s another topic for another day.
I just want to point out the mindset some people operate from. There is a way ‘rich’ people view things. They see things from the point of abundance. This even happens in business. They might compete with other players in the same industry, but, there is still that belief that there’s enough for everyone.
Why am I making mention of all these? Sometimes, we need to move out of the environment we are used to because most of us have gotten used to the ‘scarcity mentality’. We use things to the last drop not because we shouldn’t waste them, but because we believe resources are limited. At one point in time, some of us have cut toothpaste tube into half and even poured water inside.
I’m not in anyway suggesting we should be wasteful and I understand all fingers are not equal. I’m just saying we should start to operate from the mindset of abundance. While some say, "dream big and let God pay the bills", others say, "create the means to be able to afford what you want".
Whatever the case may be, just operate from the mindset of abundance. Maybe, when our mindset changes, our actions would too. Open your heart and eyes to realise that there is more than enough to go round.
Till the next post, keep learning.
